Lovers of art and culture will get their money's worth in Vodnjan (approx. 9 km) - a walk through the town reveals buildings worth seeing from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Another pearl with the Renaissance square in the town is Svetvinčenat (about 8 km). The Baroque church of Rovinj (27 km) dominates the old town with the highest tower in Istria (62 m), which houses mummified bodies of saints and relics. Crystal clear sea and plenty of beaches can be found along the western (e.g. Vrsar) as well as eastern shores (Rabac etc.) of Istria. You should also visit the nature reserve Cape Kamenjak (about 38 km) at the southern tip of Istria. Here is also a great bathing bay.
