The villa playfully picks up the elements of typical Istrian architecture and rusticity, without having to apologize to its modern-comfortable claim. Thus, the beautiful villa "de Flora" occupies a special place in our portfolio. A beautifully landscaped garden with a Mediterranean atmosphere and a magnificent view of the green cultural landscape of Istria extending beyond the property welcomes the guest in the friendliest way. Heart of the garden property is the Roman pool with a stately size of 50 sqm with outdoor shower. You can relax on the surrounding wicker loungers made of easy-care vinyl or on one of the numerous covered terrace areas. Here you will also find a large outdoor dining area, great for evenings at the communal BBQ, which is permanently installed on the premises. Walking along between Istrian quarry stone columns, we enter the interior and are welcomed by bright, spacious and open living or living spaces. The huge living room area, with fireplace and LCD TV, is covered with a dark wood floor that contrasts beautifully with the white walls of the light-filled space. The open dining area is conveniently tiled with light-colored tiles, and the long dining table is located at the open kitchen, which is separated from the dining area by an American counter. Fully equipped (refrigerator, gas cooktops, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and more), the white built-in kitchen offers state-of-the-art convenience. Large-format pictures and selected decorative objects emphasize the modern character of the interior. The bedrooms are all generously proportioned. There are 3 double rooms, if necessary an extra bed can be placed in 2 of the 3 rooms. The 7th accompanying person finds place in a nice single room. The 3 bathrooms of the house are very lavishly tiled and have their own individual touch - each in a coherent top design according to the Italian model. In addition to the covered terraces, there is also a classic baladur on the upper floor, a typical feature of Istrian architectural style, namely a covered balcony. Excellent for chilling out, relaxing and enjoying. Speaking of enjoyment: on cooler evenings, the in-house tavern invites you to a rustic get-together - experience the hospitality of Istrian cuisine of home-made dishes here with a good glass of Trapan. The villa is located on the outskirts of Galizana, the oldest town in Istria, whose settlement dates back to prehistoric times. People here are rightly proud of the unique dialect and Istrian culture. All the more reason to take up the traditions of architecture and to combine them with modernity, which the owner has succeeded in doing in an exemplary manner. Even today, the charming village is strongly oriented towards agriculture. Wine is grown, olives are cultivated and livestock is raised. The result of the autochthonous products can be seen in the nice restaurants and bars of Galizana. In the summer, the town hosts folkloric festivals, which are well worth attending. The nearest larger town is Vodnjan, which is only 4 km away. From the picturesque town, which is particularly appreciated by lovers of art and culture, you have a great view of the Brijuni islands. In the harbor village of Fazana, which is only 5 km away (by the way, it also has a beautiful, clean pebble beach), you can not only stroll along the harbor promenade and visit the fish market, but also take boats to the Brijuni islands. There the visitor is offered a unique play of nature. Beautiful animal species are united there with a rarely rich flora in one place. If you also like to pay tribute to urban life, a visit to the city of Pula, located 6 km away, is recommended. Pula is an impressive city with an equally impressive history. Over the centuries, evidence of different eras is still preserved throughout the city. The most famous is probably the Roman amphitheater, famous as the best preserved. But not only the cultural-historical interest is satisfied in Pula. In the largest city of the Istrian peninsula there is much to discover. Furthermore, along the coast there are partly wild, untouched beaches. Water sports opportunities are numerous. Somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns, one always likes to return to the great villa "de Flora" and find there in the pretty, traditional place the connection to Istrian life along with desirable peace and relaxation.
